As usual, I surf the Internet daily with the hope of coming across a new website that will catch my attention, and keep me glued to my chair for at least thirty minutes. Today, unfortunately, I did not come across such a site. Instead, I accidentally (or coencidentally) found a site mutually opposed to a site I was looking for. The site I was looking for was "God hates fags." I typed in, http://www.godhatesfags.com/, and it directed me to a site called "God loves fags." What a shocker!
I was just about ready to close the window, when curiosity struck me. I was curious, and somewhat anxious to find out how anyone could attempt to Biblically defend and justify homosexuality. I wasn't really surprised by what I found; all I found was typical "What if" arguments. The most silly argument I found reads: "If one believes in an "intrusive" God who micro-manages everyone's life, and if at least some people's sexual orientation is decided at conception, then why does God create so many homosexuals? What is His purpose for doing so? By what right can we reject a whole grouping of people created by God?"
First of all, it has not been scientifically proven that someone's sexual orientation is decided at conception. That is but a mere theory (actually, I'll say more of a myth). Secondly, God does not create homosexuals. I don't think there is one verse in the Bible that explicitly or implicitly says that God creates homosexuals. People create homosexuals by saying homosexuality is completely normal. Since God does not create homosexuals, it would be silly to say that he has a purpose for ALLOWING homosexuality. Creating and allowing are two seperate things. We have free will, remember? Lastly, we are not rejecting those who engage in homosexual acts, but rather, the homosexuality itself. Homosexuality in and of itself is not normal. As creatures of God, we either have the choice to marry someone of the opposite sex, or remain celibate without engaging in any sexual activities.
In the end, homosexual activists are only veering toward self-destruction. I don't hate homosexuals, but I do abhor the sinful nature of homosexuality.
